RESULTS OF MINIMALLY INVASIVE KNEE POSTEROLATERAL CORNER RECONSTRUCTION

چکیده

Posterolateral rotational knee instability is one of the insufficiently studied problems modern orthopedics. Complexity anatomy, difficulties diagnosis together with a small number such injuries did not allow to formulate clear concept and algorithm for treatment patients. Only in last 10 years, this problem has been given attention. The paper describes new minimally invasive technique posterolateral corner reconstructionunder arthroscopic control. Objective. To analyze long-term results reconstruction under Methods. 58 patients were presented, 26 them formed study group 32 — comparison. dynamics pain syndrome, nature range motion restoration, as well tests stability assessed. Results. Statistical analysis resultsshowed that syndrome after significantly lower, function recovers faster. lateral better group. main classification by Fanelli Larson mostly consistent clinical practice. However, it does take into account cases anterior cruciate ligament ruptures combined posterolateralcorner. Conclusions. use proposed method grafting popliteal tendon provided positive short-term patients, reduction intensity surgery earlier recovery knee. An increase complications deterioration was detected any case.

Anatomic Posterolateral Corner Reconstruction.

Posterolateral corner injuries represent a complex injury pattern, with damage to important coronal and rotatory stabilizers of the knee. These lesions commonly occur in association with other ligament injuries, making decisions regarding treatment challenging. Grade III posterolateral corner injuries result in significant instability and have poor outcomes when treated nonoperatively. As a res...

The posterolateral corner of the knee: repair versus reconstruction.

BACKGROUND Injuries to the posterolateral corner of the knee are disabling. Despite improved understanding of this group of tendons and ligaments, the best surgical treatment of an unstable corner is not clear. HYPOTHESIS Surgical repair of acute tears of the posterolateral corner has outcomes that are as good as those from reconstruction combined with an early motion rehabilitation protocol....

Isometric reconstruction of the posterolateral corner of the knee.

To date, there is no consensus on the best technique to repair injured posterolateral structures of the knee. We evaluated the effects of a fibular head based isometric reconstruction of the posterolateral knee corner with a double bundle semitendinosus tendon. From February 2001 to February 2005, 18 isometric reconstructions of a chronic posterolateral corner (PLC) injury of the knee were perf...

Posterolateral corner reconstruction.

One should suspect a compromise of the lateral structures when presented with a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury, especially if grade III laxity is present. In our experience, if a combined injury to the PCL and posterolateral corner is diagnosed, a combined PCL and posterolateral reconstruction is needed to restore stability. This article describes a posterolateral reconstruction proce...
